I have a ton of cameras. It’s actually getting to be a bit of a problem. I prefer to shoot with black and white film, and my main camera at the moment is a Hasselblad 500CM with an 80mm T* lens.

Hasselblad 500CM and Ilford HP5+ film
I’ve also got a YashicaMat 124G (an absolutely charming camera and my first in medium format)
A Canon AE-1 (Which I never use; I’m not really a fan of 35 mm)
A Mamiya C330 (Which I also never use; it’s heavy and I don’t like the lens)
A Holga (Never use that one, either)
A Polaroid SX-70 (A relatively new acquisition, it figures I would re-discover Polaroid just as they quit making the film. I love this camera)
A Nikon D70s digital SLR
A Shen Hao 4×5 field camera (I would love to use this more, haven’t found the right project for it yet)
Most of these cameras are completely manual and were made in the 1970s and 80s. I guess I just like them that way. I use a Minolta Spotmeter F light meter, shoot on Ilford HP5+ film and develop in Xtol. I’ve got a bottle of PMK Pyro in the darkroom that I’ve been thinking about trying.
I develop my own film but haven’t been printing in the darkroom for a while. I will be playing with printing with platinum and palladium in the fall. I scan my negatives with an Epson 4990 Pro scanner, edit in Photoshop on a Mac, and print with an Epson R2400. I am saving up (and trying to make some space) for a Nikon CoolScan 9000 and an Epson R4800.
The “Taking a Picture” series on the weblog gives a pretty good idea of how I use all of this stuff. Any other questions? Get in touch.
